The Old Girls Anniversary 1 year anniversary at LANOY

Just had this fabulous poem arrive in a card in the post from my  lovely Mum. xxxx

LADY LANOY
The old lady was tired, worn out,  a bit of a dive
Until one dark rainy day the 'Jenkins' arrived
Freezing cold with holes in the roof and rain coming through
Oh!  What a lot of work they'll have to do
She had a new roof, now her pipes are just fine
A new coat of paint and her name on a sign
They ploughed up the garden and in it they sank
A new great monstrous green septic tank
Four fires to burn on a cold winters night
Chandeliers and spotlights give forth the bright lights
All tarted  up and shining a new
A job taken on by only a few
Now' Old Girl', you're looking just Great!
Caught just in time, before its too late
Complain of the grockles the locals they do...
But just look what the 'Jenkins' have done for you
A 're-birthday' drink to wish you good cheers
Gorgeous once more for another hundred years
Just thank God in their wisdom they came
To bring back the past making Lanoy a proud name again
