The Elephants Nest in the attic

Today we found this in the attic!  A huge pile of dry twigs and straw.  It looks like birds have been making a nest in the attic for years, and the pile of debris is old nesting material. Quite a shock to find this. My builders came down to tell me it was the biggest nest they have ever seen, he reckoned the pile was about 5 feet in height...and guess where its located? ... Right above my office. In fact right above my head when I sit at my desk!  So tomorrows job is to clear it away.  The attic needs to be clean and dry so that the builders can start treating all the timber up there.  Quite a mammoth job for them as I have insisted that they do not spray, but rather use a brush and paint the treatment onto the wood.
